Steps to reproduce:
1) Menu > Format > Paragraph
Paragraph dialog opens
2) Area tab
3) Pattern button
4) Select any pattern
5) Select OK
Paragraph dialog closes and paragraph is pattern filled
6) Menu > Format > Paragraph
7) Click on Bitmap
-> Pattern preview is displayed instead of bitmap preview..

tdf#103847: Pass also XFillStyleItem to subtabs
this resolves the issue of non-preset gradient and hatch values not
being shown. Bitmap is still broken (beyond repair)

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.
Reverting locally https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=63961b9b45c95999dcc6b5ab080035609068ff69 doesn't help.
patch submitted for bug 111718 seems to patch this bug also:
