I create a new master doc, insert an existing file which contains just a few lines, save the master doc. Crash. Replicated the behavior following the the File > Send procedure. Makes working with master docs impossible.

I am so sorry, The request completely escaped my attention. Yesterday I updated LO to v6.2.1.2 and now I can not replicate the issue any more. I guess that is a good thing ;-) I'll change the status to resolved.
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
