Start a new line with TAB 3. Input Î or  Actual Results: Ä and the same with I the two dots Expected Results:  ΠReproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info:
Could you test writing something in browser with those letter? Isn't something with your keyboard and NOT with Libreoffice? Please check. I also use romanian keyboard (standard layout) and I use versions 5.4, 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2 and not a problem at all. Check the keyboard you have choosen.
Niclae, I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if Bogdans suggestions don't solve the problem.
Nicolae, in general Ubuntu come with keyboard packages. Not Libre Office. Please reply to comment 1. And try to install from Ubuntu: Romanian kerboard (standard).

I tested in the browser, in a notepad like text editor: pluma, vim , vi, nano. Only in LibreOffice Writer i can reproduce this behaviour. The keyboard it's selected in Ubuntu and after that selection i use it in Writer. It's selected as Romanian standard and the keyboard type as generic or Dell Latitude keyboard with same results. The platform it's a Dell D620 ( 32 bit ) without discrete graphics and Ubuntu Mate 18.04 with all updates done. I admit it could be something particular to my system. I will try to test this behaviour on a Cent-OS with GUI installed, the following days, and come with the results. As a side note the ^ sign it's rendered, but somehow remains behind the letter, it stays at the margin of the sheet and only the end of the legs get carried together with the letter and therefore they appear as two dots above the letter. Very strange :) Thank you for the input
To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
OTOH, could you please share the info from Help - About LibreOffice ?

Please open a new file a write some letters, including those affected, save and attach here.
Created attachment 144503 [details] screen capture of the affected letters In this screen capture you can see in the first row how the letters look when affected. The third row was also affected but not seen in the capture. Clearly it's a local problem and something related to rendering by the video hardware / software.
Created attachment 144504 [details] actual file used for demonstrating This file was used for taking the screen capture because even if the issue it's happening, minimizing and maximizing the window or scrolling up or down solves the issue. So, it's a clear problem of the rendering system in my particular hardware.
(In reply to BogdanB from comment #9) > Please open a new file a write some letters, including those affected, save > and attach here. Attached a screen shot and a file. You can only see the issue in the screen shot and only in the first row.
First line could be because of the separator of the header, and in rest it's ok. Could be because of your sistem, not Libre Office. I attached a screnshot of your file on my Windows. See below. Everything perfect. Version: 6.1.0.3 (x64) Build ID: efb621ed25068d70781dc026f7e9c5187a4decd1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO); Calc: group threaded

(In reply to BogdanB from comment #14) > Created attachment 144505 [details] > How letters look like... Yes i know, everything perfect :). Even in the screenshot was ok. I was seeing the problem letters but in the screenshot they were ok , except for the first row. It's very strange, but i am 100% it's my system and not an actual bug of LibreOffice. Thank you very much for the support
Welcome. I'm new helping others here on bugs at the Libre Office. I suppose I have 2 weeks since I'm a volunteer. But it is very interesting. You could get involved also. Download different versions and test the suggested user steps, discovering where the problem is from.
