Description Michael 2018-09-03 17:12:10 UTC
Description:
Got a .odt file converted from .doc, containing unknown / unnamed fields. Not really usable, as field shadings never disappear and are going to be printed.

Asked an unanswered up to now question: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/163796/how-to-find-out-which-type-of-fieldsplaceholder-are-used-in-unknown-document/

Is this conversion maybe a bug, as it's result is not really usable?

NO IDEA what might have been used in MS-WORD to create these fields, unfortunately.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open .doc in LO

Actual Results:
.odt contains unnamed/unusable fields

Expected Results:
.odt should contain usable fields

Reproducible: Always

I agree that this is a field, but yoou can't edit it with fields. So I think more informations are needed about the field in the original doc-file.

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the informations are provided.
