Description Norman Jacobs 2018-09-07 17:44:21 UTC
Description:
The latest version asked for administrator permission in order install and removed my previous installed version when uninstalling. I am the administrator and sole user on this computer. No other program does the same so is there a bug in not correctly detecting administrator permission. I don't know why you would want that anyway, surely it is unnecessary, or it was there before and the W10 updates changed something. Please fix. I love this suite.

We would need a verbose installation log. And, as LibreOffice installation on Widnows requires changes to the registry and installation of fonts to the Windows system folders--it *must* be "run as administrator" with UAC acknowledgement.

To capture logging, run the installation from an Administrator CMD window or PowerShell window.

The use the command line to do the install:

"msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_6.1.0.3_Win_x64.msi /L*v lo610installLog.txt"

if you still have issues with permissions or with the install, ZIP up the log and post it.

If you can not, please close this issue, as there is nothing actionable currently.
