The document consists of about 300 pages. The chapters were numbered from 18 to 25 at that time the chapter oriented labelling was OK. Label for Pictures and tables were in the range from 18.1. to 25.x Later numbering was changed to the range of 19 to 26. Labels of tables changed correctly now starting at 19.1 but labels of Pictures are still in the old range. Adding new Pictures delivers the correct number at most places. But when inserting from section 26.1 and behind, numbers are missing. Adding an additional (dummy) chapter and inserting Pictures there works fine. The bug also only affects pictures e. g. not tables. The error is in the big file mentioned above (ca. 25 MB). The problem could not be reproduced in small examples. I assume it is related to someof the rara crashes I experienced. If yo need the big file please let me know. Best regards Wilfried Koch

This is a short version of the critical document. The Errors can be reproduced. Abbildung 23.1: should be Abbildung 24.1. etc. The figure in section 26.11 is missing the number - error!! The figure in chapter 27 is labelled correctly. The tables are labelled correctly. I am not sure if the upload really worked
Created attachment 144841 [details] critical docoment - short version In this document the error should be reproducible. It is a short version of the original document. Abbildung 23.1: should be Abbildung 24.1.: etc. The labelling in section 26.11. has no number. this is an error. The figute in chapter 27 (Abbildung 27.1.:) is labelled correctly. Tables are labelled correctly.
I think, the problem is more general: 1. Open attachment from comment 3 2. Mark filed "23.1" => Edit fields in context menu 3. Try to change Format or Level of numbering => no update of the field Same result, if you use the menu (Format => Edit => Fields) Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 414ef6cb187dd3bbcc917dbedf3c0c1cc8668f60 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2018-08-21_00:13:04 Locale: en-US (de_DE); Calc: CL
The bug seems to appear only with the category Abbildung. This by accident appears twice in my category list. I see no difference between the two category entries. >>>How can the duplicate be deleted?<<< Defining a new category Abb numbering works correct. Why is the sttus still unconfirmed despite the message of Dieter Prass, dating from Sept 13?
(In reply to Wilfried Koch from comment #5) > Why is the sttus still unconfirmed despite the message of Dieter Prass, > dating from Sept 13? You're right. I've just forgotten it?
Also reproduced in Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: c15927f20d4727c3b8de68497b6949e72f9e6e9e in previous versions, LibreOffice hangs at import time...
Dear Wilfried Koch, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
