I work on KDE Neon user eidition - fully updated. To my great surprise the libreoffice global menu suddenly functions in kde plasma 5 with libreoffice 6.1.1.2. Only when I click on item most left "file" ("bestand" in my case) it won't open. The rest of the menu items behaves as expected. Great work!
Is this a bug? Please note: The component "Base" is for database-bugs in LibreOffice.
Oh, I'm sorry. I thought that "base" would mean "the core" or so. I'm not a technician. I am just a great fan of Libreoffice who wants to help in his way. And now you question: Yes, I consider this a bug. At least if you want to open a file using LibreOffice in KDE plasma 5 with global menu. The way things are now that is impossible.
Bug report in KDE Bug Tracker: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401367
KDE5 support is under development and it will be heavily improved in LibreOffice 6.2 Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build
I tested under the version 6.2 beta 1 and the bug is GONE. "File" menu item of the global menu opens as it should. LibreOffice looks super elegant. Great work! Thanks...
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
