Upon testing this in the terminal I see the following every time I try to open such a dialog:

(soffice:4606): Gtk-WARNING **: 17:38:40.603: gtk_window_set_titlebar() called on a realized window

Oh, you're right; I had forgotten that. This is on my school machine,
and I had to move back in order to use the software.

Yes, when I install the latest version this is still a problem:

Version: 6.1.0.3
Build ID: 6.1.0-2
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.14; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Not sure what Linux distro you are using, but as the latest version is 6.1.2, it would be interesting to hear if the problem is still in it.

This seems specific to that OS or configuration or something local.
I set to Needinfo for you to test with newer Fresh version 6.1.3.
And it would really be helpful to test with https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ that will be installed separately to your working version.
