Description Stephen 2018-09-19 00:06:11 UTC
Description:
Bug 34303 amply documents the difficulties in LO saving pdfs in the 'last saved' location instead of the one presently used.

Would respectfully suggest something similar to the 'always save a backup copy' function in Tools>Options/Load/Save. Suggest having an option to 'Always save a pdf copy next to original.' This would save a lot of clicking and navigating around directories whenever a user wishes to save a pdf version of their text file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Work in directory (A)
2. Move to directory (B)
3. Wish to save text file as pdf in directory (B)

Actual Results:
LO prompts user to save pdf in directory (A)

Expected Results:
LO prompts use to save pdf in directory (B) where user is presently working. Or, having an option in Load/Save to always save a pdf next to original, thus obviating all the clicking around.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

What is the difference in comparison to bug 34303? For me it looks like a duplicate.

The difference is that I am proposing a modest solution.

Yes, but why don't you propose it in a comment to bug 34303? In my view that would be more useful.
