Description Tamás Zolnai 2018-09-21 20:36:32 UTC
Description:
In the conditional formating dialog there is a preview with the text from the selected cell. However when I open the dialog first for a cell (without conditional formatting) this preview seems odd. I mean the Accent style is selected by default, but the preview does not looks like this style is applied on it. If I select the Accent style again by clicking on it with the mouse the preview is updated and shows the right styled text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Calc
2. Open Format -> Conditional -> Condition dialog
3. Check the preview with the default Accent style
4. Select the Accent style explicitely and check the new preview

Actual Results:
The preview shows different text when the accent style is selected by default by dialog openning and when I select it myself.

Expected Results:
When we open the dialog the default style (Accent) should be applied on the preview.

Reproducible: Always

The dialog's code is here:
sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/conditionalformatdialog.ui
sc/source/ui/condformat/condformatdlg.cxx

The formating entries code is here:
sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/conditionalentry.ui
sc/source/ui/condformat/condformatdlgentry.cxx

Also worth to check (short description how a dialog should work)

Repro with 6.3+ and from 4.0 as seen.
But I'll put 3.6 because, although preview was not immediate, preview with Add shows the same.

Re-evaluating the EasyHack in 2022

This issue is still relevant. Other than formatting, the example text is not consistent for CTL/CJK. It changes when you select something else, and then "Accent style".
