Description alex 2018-09-29 23:42:20 UTC
Description:
whenever I switch back to impress, the current heading is selected in its entirety.
as a result, I have to be very careful not to type any text before I have clicked anywhere in order to DESELECT that selection:
this feels more like a deliberate but extremely irritating feature that should at least have an option to turn it off.

OpenGL is NOT enabled; enabling it seems to hide the bug, but the screen becomes ugly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create some headings and body in impress, outlining mode
2. switch to any other application
3. switch back to the impress document

Actual Results:
the heading that contains the cursor becomes entirely selected and the user must be careful not to type anything (or risk losing the entire heqding line)

Expected Results:
the heading should not be selected

Reproducible: Always

right after filing this report, I had a crash related to enabling and disabling this OpenGL thing; now it looks like this is no longer an issue...

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
