Description Jill Miller 2018-10-15 15:36:38 UTC
Description:
Open any table (I have 8) and System Monitor shows continuous 15% CPU usage. Attempt to Reset Filter and nothing happens. If i try to cancel the Table Data View window (Click on the window's (X) button) nothing happens and I must use xkill to stop the program. If I only open the table then immediately attempt to close it with its window-close button, it takes 36 seconds to close that window. Note: All tables are integral to my Base file.
I can still use Queries and Reports.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a table.
2. Click on Standard Filter or Reset Filter.
3. Wait forever.

Actual Results:
No Filter sub-window.
Can't close (sub-)window with its close-window (X) button.

Expected Results:
Filter sub-window should open.
Should be able to close the sub-window.

Reproducible: Always

Slightly different test system here Ubuntu 18.04 (64bit) LibreOffice 6.0.7

I used two base files, one hsql and one firebird and both embedded, and with LibreOffice options for GL and GTK for the vcl. I was unable to reproduce the reported behavior. I open tables applied standard filter settings, saved the table and ODB with that filter setting. Opened the table again and was able to reset the filter without problem. Also mixed standard filter and auto_filter together and still not problem with turning it off and/or resetting it.

Perhaps you can supply a test file which caused the problem? Or perhaps you are using a database engine different then what I tested?

No repro for me either with

Version: 6.1.2.1

Threads CPU : 8; OS : Mac OS X 10.13.6; UI Render : par défaut;

Also tested on :

Ubuntu 18.04 Mate Desktop
Distrib provided LibreOffice 6.0.6.2
BuildId 1:6.0.6.0ubuntu-18.04.1

No repro there either. I can set and unset filter conditions without any noticeable delay or freezing.
