Description Vera Blagoveschenskaya 2018-10-25 13:18:32 UTC
Description:
Link to External data: impossible to link the other .ods document in LO Calc

Steps to Reproduce:
I want to link two .ods documents: test1.ods and test2.ods

1. In test1.ods click Sheet -> Link to External data
2. In External Data dialog select document you want to link via button Browse
3. Document is selected, but Button OK is disabled

Actual Results:
OK is disabled, impossible to link the other .ods document

Expected Results:
Possibility to link .ods document
(BTW .csv is linked normally)

IF .ods linking is not supported, I expect some user warning about it

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

from Calc Help:

Inserts data from an HTML, Calc, CSV or Excel file into the current sheet as a link. >>>The data must be located within a named range.<<<

If you have named range in your test2.ods, then you will see range name in dialog "External Data" in field Available tables/ranges
