Illustrates the UI change that occurs when selecting a chart

When selecting a chart in calc, an extra bar of blank space is created between the application menu and the formula bar. The same behavior is observed when viewing a comment. This behavior only occurs when classical menus are used and all menus are on the side of the screen (instead of the top - as is conventional).

Attached are a "normal" view of the interface and the "abnormal" change that occurs when a chart is selected.

Hm that's interesting. It should be the drawing object properties that appears when you select the chart.

Please select the chart then do this:
View -> Toolbars -> Drawing Object Properties

Is that checked? If not, check it and then see what behavior you observe. You should be seeing additional options relevant to the chart appear when you select it.

Test and then if the problem persists set back to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks

Mr. Madero:

You are correct. This is not a bug at all. The problem was my customization (I removed all the icons from the 'Drawing Object Properties' toolbar). Thank you!
