In case anyone is interested the 'XINERAMA' bug of old is still there in the latest Debian upgrade, that's version 1:5.2.7-1 of libreoffice. It seems this has been around for ages and is not considered important, but I thought I'd mention it. I'm now using abiword for .docx files, and it works fine.
Your LO is end of live Can you retest with a still version or a fresh LibreOffice best regards
Just for information, last stable LO version is 6.1.3 (I think it's the version I got in Debian testing) so perhaps the bug is fixed now. But since you use Abiword now, I suppose you don't care.
> In case anyone is interested the 'XINERAMA' bug of old is still […] Which exact bug? When referencing other bugs, please always mention which number it is.
> > Julien, all: I'm using Debian Stable. This bug, I don't have any 'number' for it, but for years, when I try libreoffice it does not work and it's always the same message about XINERAMA, I presume you guys know this bug, if you Google it, many others have the same problem. I have triple monitors but I don't use xinerama at all. I care about the bug if you care about it. Abiword is much more limited, it does my exact need to read .docx but I would prefer libreoffice if it can work. Latter if I have time I'll try a newer version and let you know if it works. Thanks.
bug 74339? Please try with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/
It's fixed guys, thanks.
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
Yeah, dunno, maybe you guys should update Debian or whatever the protocols might be. Anyway, happy that libreoffice now works, I've been trying for years.
