Description Witold Rakoczy 2018-12-07 11:04:19 UTC
Description:
Many icons in toolbars has elements in the color similar to default skin background. That's bad especially on high definition screens because icons are small there. Some of these icons e.g. Borders submenu icons use elements in this color to distinguish their meaning, what adds difficulties in quick selection to the general discomfort of identifying them.
To make things more unpleasant when user tries to select an icon the icon pointed to by the mouse is overlaid with a pattern which completely covers significant elements of the icon, so the user has to remember position of the wanted icon, then position mouse pointer to its location and to click an icon without a direct clue what is the meaning of the element pointed to.
Summary: the color of icon elements critical to the process of distinguishing icon should be changed; also selection overlay should not cover elements meaningful for the selection of operation.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make sure the formating toolbar is visible
2. point to Border icon then click it; in displayed icons observe difference of color of frames' elements and the background color
3. move mouse pointer to any icon of the icons and observe how inner frame covers elements of border

Expected Results:

Reproducible: Always

As usual information about OS provided automatically (Information automatically included from LibreOffice) is wrong: Operating System is 64-bit, Operating System Locale is pl-PL, while LibreOffice version is English.

Windows and 6.1.3, so likely Colibre.

Hi,

As colibre on windows use the color from microsoft extension icon guideline, and the idea behind colibre is to have an windows integrate icon theme I will close this request.

As colibre icons are available as svg you can change the color easy hopefully sometimes in the future we get color scheme support so you can choose between different colors.
