when Writer users hit f7, they might expect to check spelling for the entire document.. However, when they are in the middle of a text and hit f7, it would be trillion times more LOGICAL if the checking started at the word that is at the cursor... I'm sure we all agree, still, let me give you an example: you are not sure how to spell something or if it is a word at all :) then you hit f7... you are at page 7... you have some 25, but at least 5 problematic words that seem to need correction... and you'l have to go through all of them!! if checking could start where your cursor is at, everything would be so much nicer :) Thank you for developing Libreoffice! merry holidays! * *
I'm not sure that it's good idea. I want that all document was good without any error
Spellcheck currently works positioned at the sentence with text cursor focus. Only "enhancement" I can imagine would be to set a mark at that text cursor position and provide a button action in the SpellCheck UI to return cursor and document view to that mark.

So it's simply a WFM - wrong report. Sorry Peter. Cor
@ stuart, oops, I (we..) completely missed your change to a different enhancement. Sorry (to hasty..) Feel free to re-open for that, If you think it's important :) Cor
