NB: This is a bug against documentation. However, my wish is that other things mentioned will change, in various product areas (not just documentation).

1) I believe "AutoFormat Styles" to be _at least_ misleading. Maybe mention somewhere that this feature autoformats "selected cell range" as in a "table"?

2) There is no mention, and no indication that feature requires at least a 2x3 selection to work. Additionally, MS Excel doesn't have these limitations (even on its online version).

3) The only "range limitation" comes from the "Add" button in "AutoFormat Styles" ("of a range of at least 4 x 4 cells"). However, even frasing is un-intuitive to me. Maybe change:
> Allows you to add the current formatting of a range of at least 4 x 4 cells to the list of predefined AutoFormats.
to
> Allows you to add the current formatting to the list of predefined AutoFormats. <b>Note that this, requires a range of at least 4 x 4 cells</b>

Applying Automatic Formatting to a Selected Cell Range
You can use the AutoFormat feature to quickly apply a format to a sheet or a selected cell range.
To Apply an AutoFormat to a Sheet or Selected Cell Range
    1. Select the cells, including the column and row headers, that you want to format.
    2. Choose Format - AutoFormat.
    3. To select which properties to include in an AutoFormat, click More.
    4. Click OK.
       The format is applied to the selected range of cells.

If you do not see any change in color of the cell contents, choose View - Value Highlighting.

To Define an AutoFormat for Spreadsheets
You can define a new AutoFormat that is available to all spreadsheets.
    1. Format a sheet.
    2. Choose Edit - Select All.
    3. Choose Format - AutoFormat.
    4. Click Add.
    5. In the Name box of the Add AutoFormat dialog, enter a name for the format.
    6. Click OK.

Format
Choose a predefined AutoFormat to apply to a selected area in your sheet.
Preview Field
Displays a preview of the current selection.
Add
Allows you to add the current formatting of a range of at least 4 x 4 cells to the list of predefined AutoFormats. The Add AutoFormat dialog then appears.
Enter a name and click OK. 
Delete
Deletes the selected element or elements after confirmation.
Rename
Opens a dialog where you can change the name of the selected AutoFormat.
The Rename AutoFormat dialog opens. Enter the new name of the AutoFormat here.
Formatting
In this section you can select or deselect the available formatting options. If you want to keep any of the settings currently in your spreadsheet, deselect the corresponding option.
Number format
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the number format of the selected format.
Borders
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the border of the selected format.
Font
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the font of the selected format.
Pattern
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the pattern of the selected format.
Alignment
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the alignment of the selected format.
AutoFit width and height
When marked, specifies that you want to retain the width and height of the selected cells of the selected format.
