Description ricky.tigg 2019-01-21 10:54:25 UTC
Description:
Under Outline & Numbering tab, at section Numbering style:, while a chosen parameter allows option Edit Style to be usable, once OK has been clicked, it becomes no more usable.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Show Sidebar (Ctrl F5) => Styles => All Styles;
2. Right-click style Title and select Modify...; Open Outline & Numbering tab;
3. At section Numbering style:, change parameter from None to Numbering 123. Click OK;
4. Reproduce step 2.;
5. At section Numbering style:, while parameter is currently Numbering 123, once more, select that same parameter. Click OK.

Actual Results:
2. – Numbering style: is at its default state – None – Edit Style is not usable.
3. – Edit Style became usable; see attachment.
4. – Edit Style is no more usable.
5. – Same as result 3.

Expected Results:
Option Edit Style to remain usable without extra step – here 5. – once a chosen parameter has already lead to state usable once and is still currently used.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

I can't confirm this with

Version: 6.1.4.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 9d0f32d1f0b509096fd65e0d4bec26ddd1938fd3
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard;

and paragraph style "Title"

If issue is suspected to be document specific, just request a document sample. As usual, confirmation relies on being tested on correct OS.

Repro with everything else besides Linux + GTK3 backend (funny).

Steps with the document are
1. Modify the Heading > Title style
2. Switch to Outline & numbering tab

Observe that Edit Style is disabled.

The original interface observed at the time that report was sent is no more present due to changes brought between the version originally reported and the current version on my system –7.4.3.2. As a consequence this obsoletes the original steps to reproduce. Better to see by yourself what is the intended behavior you would expect. Valid procedure is now to close and open a new ticket with according instructions.

Noticeable changes:
removed | Outline & Numbering tab.
added | Outline & List tab.

In Outline & List tab, "Edit style" can be clicked. In the window resulting from the click, in Organizer tab though none of the parameters can be modified despite that the very possibility to click implies that style is editable in further step. Still now then, style can't be edited.

After clicking Edit Style, I can change stuff and they have an effect. For example the bullet image.
