Description Jack 2019-01-31 01:38:34 UTC
I understand the procedure to clone text formatting to be:

1. Select text whose formatting is to be copied.

2. Click the format 'paintbrush' in the toolbar.

3. Click or select the text to which the format is to be applied.

This does not work.

After step 2 the cursor changes to a 'pouring paint can', but using this to highlight or click on other text effects no change to the format of that text.

Behavior is the same using the Format -> Clone formatting menu.

Please provide a sample file where this is seen; and make sure you have read the tool description [1], namely where the default action (cloning only character formatting) is discussed - so make sure that the "highlight" is a character property, and not e.g. a paragraph background.

Please change back to UNCONFIRMED after providing the sample. Thanks!

The original text formatting was based on the default format. The issue does not exist for text where the default has been overridden.

There is no issue here.
