I cannot even type file paths in LibreOffice 22.214.171.124 anymore, as parts in between of slashes get automatically formatted italic…?!
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just type `/var/`.
For whatever reason which makes absolutely no sense, I get italic text.
I want to be able to write down paths without hassle. There already is the `Ctrl + I` shortcut for italic text, this addition makes absolutely no sense.

How can I turn this off, actually? I cannot find anything.

please disable this feature in Menu Tools/AutoCorrect/AutoCorrect Options...

Thank you very much!
But why is this not a bug? There is a really bug toolbar at the top containing buttons for bold/italic etc. and we have accelerators. I think this is sufficient. This setting should be turned off by default, this is no Markdown editor.

ok, setting to status to: new
Okay, this may be somewhat opinion-based. But I’m pretty sure that the vast majority doesn’t know about these autocorrect-rules and this therefore mainly hinders text processing for text containing those characters on purpose. And as mentioned, there already are accelerators in addition to the toolbar buttons.
If people are used to the Markdown way, and want to use this technique in LO, too, they can activate this. This way, nobody is faced with unexpected behavior.
Not a but, clearly a RTFM... => NAB
You’re absolutely right – if those /people/ would RTFM, they would know about `Ctrl + I`! xD
