Description: When I activate the new experimental graphic interface with tabs (Notebook Bar) of LibreOffice 6.2, Spanish version, I find errors in the translation of the names of those tabs. This error is replicated in all applications of LO 6.2, Spanish version (Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw). This anomaly does not happen in LibreOffice 6.1.5 applications in which the translation of the tabs into the Spanish language is perfect. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any application of Libreoffice 6.2, Spanish version (Writer, Calc, Impress or Draw). 2. Activate the new experimental User Interface by Tabs like this: "View"> "User Interface"> "In Tabs". Actual Results: 1. Open any application of Libreoffice 6.2, Spanish version (Writer, Calc, Impress or Draw). 2. Activate the new experimental User Interface by Tabs like this: "View"> "User Interface"> "In Tabs". 3. Observe the names of the tabs. They appear in English and not in Spanish as they should be. Expected Results: The names of the tabs should appear in Spanish as they are in all applications of LO 6.1.5, Spanish version, where the translation is perfect. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: es Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no
Adolfo: thought you might be interested in this one since it concerns Spanish language.
So now the source strings were fuzzy all over again because of missing accelerator characters. Sigh… Fixed for 6.2.1.
I see that you have done a hard job to improve Libreoffice every time. Your work is very good. This bug has been partially resolved in LO 6.2.1, Spanish version. It has been solved in LO Impress and LO Draw. However, all the tabs of LO Calc 6.2.1, with the exception of the first of them, using the new User Interface (UI) with tabs, appear in English. In addition, in Writer 6.2.1, the last tab ("Tools") also appears in English, being the only tab that still needs to be translated into Spanish. It is very important that the new User Interface (UI) has all its tabs translated into Spanish in order to stimulate the use of LO among the millions of people whose native language is Spanish.
March-23-2019 Now I am testing LO Writer 6.2.2.2, Spanish version and I see that only the translation of the "Tools" tab in the new User Interface (UI) with tabs is missing. You must put "Herramientas" instead of "Tools".
Created attachment 150225 [details] screenshot On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources udpated today + gtk3, I gave a try and all tabs in Writer appear in English. When you click on each tab, almost everything is in Spanish however.
See my previous comment.
Created attachment 150234 [details] LO Writer User Interface 6.2.2.2, Spanish version, using Windows on a Windows PC x86-64 in Spanish. We are not using debian. We use Windows and try to use Libreoffice instead of Microsoft Office. Many people in Latin America do this in schools, colleges, universities, small businesses, community organizations, some government entities and some banks. Today, using Windows and LibreOffice Writer 6.2.2.2 in Spanish, I see the User Interface (UI) with tabs according to the image attached here. For us it is very important to have the entire User Interface in Spanish because we have come to use Microsoft Office but we are making the change because the MS Office license is too expensive for us.
Every "~Tools" has been translated to "~Herramientas" in Weblate and Pootle. On the same way, "_Tools" has been translated to "_Herramientas" in Weblate and Pootle.
I am testing LibreOffice 6.3.4, Using WIndows 10 Professional X64, in Spanish, and I see that this bug has been completely resolved. So I am confirming to you that this bug has been resolved after testing LO 6.3.4 in Spanish.
