Description: I've imported into a masterdocument 104 subdocumnets amounting to more than 6000 and import is very slow. Also, updating the TOC seemingly takes forever, or at least countless hours, having been forced to leave it update the TOC overnight. can you attach your documents and please add info from dialog Help->About
Sure, I'll attach them. After all, what could happen: they only contain Intel Top Secret stuff?
I don’t understand why when I import all of the 104 subdocuments in one go, LibreOffice is slow and unresponsive, while when I import them in small batches, LibreOffice runs smooth and responsive for the most part. I would have expected the same behavior once all of the subdocuments are loaded.

If you want to be helpful, sanitize them — we have instructions to do so at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission
I discovered the cause of the problem: there were two documents which although only a few pages long had Track Changes enabled. I disabled Track Changes in them and reimported all of the subdocuments into the masterdocument. LibreOffice Writer was now responsive and ran smoothly when working with the 6k-page masterdocument.
