Hi, I downloaded LibreOffice indeed from the link you mentioned. I didn't uninstall LibreOffice, instead of that I did a Microsoft recovery (to the restorepoint that was created at the installation of LibreOffice). I didn't want to take any chances because Photoshop is to important to me. I am adding a few attachments about the Photoshop problem. If you want them, I have also some error log events. Let me know if you want these too and I will upload them.
The only reason I can think of is that Photoshop didn't like some of the fonts LibreOffice installed on your system. PS CS2 was released in 2005, so it is pretty darn old at this point. It is probably choking on some new font feature. Unfortunately it seems there is no way to configure where PS looks for fonts. You might try a portable version to see, if it helps: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/portable-versions/ Make sure to save a recovery point first. You could also consider switching to GIMP - the latest version is pretty much on par with PS CS2 featurewise. The next major version of GIMP (3.0) is probably roughly comparable to PS CS6.
