Description dkarnout 2019-02-23 18:36:54 UTC
Description:
Some fonts (for example GFS Artemisia, witch can be downloaded from here:
https://www.greekfontsociety-gfs.gr/typefaces/20th_21st_century#GFS_Artemisia )
while typing are written on monitor at wrong direction and getting out of the page.
That happens in the whole libreoffice suite (writer, calc, etc). It does not happen at GIMP, so i do not believe it is the font's problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install font (https://www.greekfontsociety-gfs.gr/typefaces/20th_21st_century#GFS_Artemisia)
2. Start Writer
3. Select GFS Artemisia font
4. Start typing

Actual Results:
Letters are written from right to left going out of the page

Expected Results:
Letters should be typed from left to right

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Not reproduced. I also tried after changing the language of the paragraph to Greek.

What if you deactivate OpenGL from Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering?

I just reproduced it with OpenGL deactivated and at version 6.2.2.2 (x64)...

In your description, you said "User Profile Reset: Yes", but did you really do this? The same effect can be achieved with Safe mode, Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode.
Comment 5 dkarnout 2019-03-24 18:09:33 UTC
I can reproduce it in safe mode also in another machine at version 6.2.2.2 (windows 10 x64)...
Comment 6 Buovjaga 2019-03-24 18:12:28 UTC
Has this ever worked properly? If you don't know, can you test with some older versions: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugTriage#Step_7:_Regression_Testing
