LibreOffic Scale Tool proposal description

This is not a bug but a proposal for a new scale tool in LibreOffice.

See attached my thoughts for full details.

Any questions please let me know.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Grant.

Valid, but seems more suitable/specialized to an Extension
Comment 2 Grant 2019-02-26 17:33:46 UTC
Hi V Stuart Foote.

After poking around this site a bit more I eventually found the Extensions > Enhancement option. Shall I re-post this suggestion under there and cancel this one, or, can someone move it for me to there?

Regards,

Grant.

The somewhat specialized nature of this drawing tool might be better provided as an Extenstion, but IMHO it has merit.

So, best to leave it here with UX Eval handling. Potential it could be viewed as a valid core function. All depends on a dev taking an interest in doing the feature, or of one of the core devs agreeing to mentor a new dev or student interested to bring it forward.

@Armin, any thoughts? Feasible to implement?

How about adding as many objects you want, placing two at the edges and spacing out everything? Look for the Distribute button on the standard toolbar.

Would be kind to use the default tools, here Bugzilla, instead of requesting something else.

Or in case the objects are the same, use the 'Duplicate' tool to generate them.

Distribution and generation works for me.
