I reported this prior and was told the issue was likely due to using a build from Ubuntu vs an "official" build. I have since removed that build and installed via Snap, as outlined on the web site (https://www.libreoffice.org/download/snap/) so I assume it is official.

I am unable to locate my original post, so I cannot find what was asked to locate further information. Could you kindly provide exactly what LibreOffice wants and needs to see in order for this feature to work? I use PGP and SSH keys often without any issues. I use keys for/with email, git and manual encryption of files. I have also exported and imported keys with other services, so I know my keysets are proper as the imports and exports are always successful and result function as they should.

According to the information here:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/gpg4libre
"installing a gnupg/gpg package will be enough, perhaps with an additional keymanagement frontend like kleopatra or seahorse."

I have installed
gnupg / gpg version 2.2.4-1ubuntu1.2
seahorse 3.20.0-5
gpa 0.9.10-3

All of those are installed from the main/default sources and installed with all default "factory settings and configuration" as it relates to the OS I am using, Ubuntu 18.04-2.

Taken from the software itself, I am using LibreOffice:
Version: 6.2.0.3
Build ID: libreoffice-6.2.0.3-snap1

Please advise on what I might look for. If LibreOffice wants something specific in config, settings or support packages, I can check for those. Otherwise, LibreOffice is installed via snap on to a default factory setting Ubuntu install, so nothing I can see makes me uniquely different than any other user of the same OS and LibreOffice.

Hello Brian,
Does it happen if you install the deb files from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I just want to check whether it's a snap problem or a general one
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

When installing the set of debs, the issue is resolved. So as you were wondering, it does appear to be a snap problem. In addition, I am unable to get this functionality from the Ubuntu repos either. The only way I can get the functionality is via the deb package set.

Like it says on the Snap page: "Note that bugs only appearing in the Snap version should be reported to Ubuntu's Launchpad."

@Buovjaga - then the snap option should be removed from the documentfoundation.org website as an install option. Only official install options should be listed. I was told prior to determine exactly where the issue is, meaning source, so it can be looked into.

Kindly either address the issue on the snap or remove it as an official source of install.

Well, that's your opinion. I don't see why it should be removed as there is clear information where to report such bugs: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice
The entity that needs to address the issue with the snap is Canonical.

Fair enough I guess. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Yes, it is my opinion that if you provide a method of install that you support it. Example, you can use a few different PPA, but they are not official and they are not on your site. However, the snap is and also the appimage and deb packages. You could also simply add some text saying that this is provided by a third party, meaning the snap, so it is clear that you do not support it.

I like your product and I mean not to be negative to you. I am not using the debs from your site directly. Thank you for your efforts.
