Description Oscar Martignani 2019-02-28 18:12:13 UTC
Description:
While using Draw, i draw a line and edited its properties by right click -> Line. In the window that opened, I selected a different colour and a different Style and i clicked on "Reset" pushbutton. It correctly deselected the colour and the line type i chose. But when I tried to open again the colour panel, i couldn't select any colour because e.g. when I selected "black", it gave me a "Yellow 3" colour instead. It looked like the selection was shifted down of a few row. Also, just passing over with the mouse pointer on the colour I wanted, it showed the description of a different colour (e.g.: passing over the black rectangle, it showed "Yellow 3" as a description of the colour).
I had to close the "Line" properties and go back in.
It happens every time with a new draw line, it doesn't happen when the line properties have already been edited.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a line
2. edit line properties right click -> Line
3. select a different line style
4. select a different colour
5. press "Reset" pushbutton
6. try to select again a different colour

Actual Results:
Colour are mismatched

Expected Results:
Colours can be correctly selected

Reproducible: Always

I can't reproduce it in

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+

Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

I tried downloading the version: 6.2.1.2 (x64)

Version: 6.2.1.2 (x64)
Build ID: 7bcb35dc3024a62dea0caee87020152d1ee96e71
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: win;

Calc: threaded

but the bug is still there: if i make those steps (new line -> edit line properties -> different line type -> different line colour -> reset PB -> different line colour) the colours are messed up: if i click on black, it select yellow 3.
Will add a screenshot.

Thanks,
Oscar

Screenshot of the bug

made the steps described, now selecting the "black" colour, Draw sets it to "yellow 3".
Comment 9 Oscar Martignani 2019-03-14 09:14:57 UTC
tried disabling the theme (who knows...) but the bug is still present.
Comment 10 Oscar Martignani 2019-03-15 09:42:31 UTC
Installed a virtual Debian (9.8 Stretch) and installed libreoffice on:
Version: 6.2.1.2
Build ID: 7bcb35dc3024a62dea0caee87020152d1ee96e71
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 4.9; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.utf8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

And I couldn't reproduce the bug.

May it be because of the difference between Locale and UI-Language on the Windows installation?

To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

Hi Xisco,

resetting the user profile made the bug disappear. So it is working correctly now.
Sorry but i didn't know about this thing of the user profile that might show a wrong behaviour in the program.
Now I'd like to take back some of the personalizations i have made earlier, i have backupped my profile but i don't know where to search within it.
I'll be checking but i guess that this case can be closed.

Thank you

This may help you a bit regarding the personalizations: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#User_profile_content
