I confirm it with

Version: 6.2.3.2 (x64)
Build-ID: aecc05fe267cc68dde00352a451aa867b3b546ac
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Duden recommends da-rum, but dar-um is also possible; see https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/darum

I prefer da-rum. Isn't there a way, if both is right, so set the preference? I'm an author of novels, a creative one. I'm not a pupil anymore, I don't have to say "YEAH!" to all rules. In german we call it "Kreative Freiheit", creative freedom.

It's possible to set custom hyphenation in an installation:

"Preventing Hyphenation of Specific Words

If your text is automatically hyphenated and certain hyphenated words look ugly, or if you want specific words never to be hyphenated you can switch off hyphenation for those words:

    Choose Tools - Options - Language Settings - Writing Aids

    Select a dictionary in the User-defined dictionary list, and then click Edit.

    If the list is empty, click New to create a dictionary.

    In the Word box, type the word you want to exclude from hyphenation, followed by an equal sign (=), for example, "pretentious=".

    Click New, and then click Close."
