This is a feature request for the ability to open the folder containing the active file in LibreOffice (a.k.a. "Open Containing Folder", "Open Parent document/folder", "Open enclosing folder", "Show File", "Show in File Manager", "Show in Finder", "Show in file browser", "Show in folder", or "View in Explorer"). I would like to access this feature through a menu entry, button, or context menu. I am currently using a macro that works for my OS and desktop environment, but a robust, cross-platform feature would be more beneficial. More background here: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/191436/open-containing-folder-feature/
Valid enhancement request -> set status to NEW. That does not mean that this feature will be implemented. Best regards. JBF
it's something similar with this: If you have a file saved into a certail folder, and go to: File - Properties - Genaral, you cand click on the link and it open the location of your File. Please comeback with a feedback to see if this is what you requested. I have tested this on version Version: 24.2.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: da48488a73ddd66ea24cf16bbc4f7b9c08e9bea1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Hi BogdanB, thanks for taking a look at this. Using the Location field is indeed my current workaround as described here: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/open-containing-folder-feature/41277 It looks like this may have improved slightly as if memory serves this wasn't always a clickable link. Regardless, this is a feature request to make this more process convenient through e.g. a menu entry or toolbar button.
