when you'd like to compress graphics in LibreOffice with the command CompressGraphic the default settings make the image blured.

In addition the jpeg compression is in impress when you use shrink presentation 80 (optimized for print) and in CompressGraphic 90, should be the same.

What setting is it exactly?
Reduce image resolution. It has different interpolation methods. I don't see much difference between Lanczos and Bicubic. Probably dependent on the source image.
Would be great, if you attached an example image that shows the problem.
