Description peter josvai 2019-05-02 08:05:23 UTC
hi,

what you do:

1. open "manage templates"

2. right click on one of the templates

3. in the context menu select/go "set template as default"

4. now that you (think you) have set a template default, you just leave this template management window.. by hitting "cancel" (the other option would be to open the template)

- - -
what you get:

next time you open the template management, you'll see that the template you chose is NOT set as default (in fact, the previous default is no longer the default either)

- - -
why bother?

we can say it's pretty rare that someone wants to set a template as default without opening it :)

still, nowadays when we grow out the old Windows style "click to save" and take it for granted that what we set is set as we do it, I think it would be simple logical if it worked like that...

I mean, when you click "set as default", it should be set...

- - - thank you for developing libreoffice - - -

I can't confirm that with

CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;

and with

Version: 6.2.3.2 (x64)

CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win;

Peter, can you still reproduce it in LO 6.2.3.2? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
