Description Peter Benedek 2019-05-09 13:37:56 UTC
Tested in Linux Mint 19.1; Libreoffice 6.x; Impress

-- Open new Impress document
-- Insert a image or rectangle on slide
-- Click on the image or the rectangle
-- Now again click on the image or the rectangle and keep down the mouse left button to 1-2 second.
-- Move the mouse and watch what happens: not the object moves, only an icon.

The editing is very hard with touchpad of notebook.

Hello Peter,

Thank you for reporting the bug. I agree with you it's a bit annoying behavior. It's not only related to images but also to other objects like text boxes.

The workaround is to move the object fast without waiting for 1-2 secods or using the arrow keys. As there is a working workaround I'm setting this bug importance to minor and leaving it unconfirmed waiting for comments from senior members.

Thank you for reporting the bug.
Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ?
You can install it alongside the standard version.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build

It may be worth mentioning that this "bug" actually creates a helpful feature. Holding down the picture for 1-2 seconds allows you to drag the object onto a completely different slide. As seen here: https://youtu.be/2DiVGKrSbE0
