Description libreoffice-bugs 2019-05-16 14:20:47 UTC
Kubuntu 19.04

The application randomly ignores my keyboard. It continues to recognize the mouse. This has happened on two different machines, on one with a wireless (Logitech) keyboard, and on a laptop with a hardwired keyboard. I will suddenly be unable to type in any cells or the formula bar. Nor can I navigate around the sheet with the arrow keys. Mouse-based functions like the Save icon continue to work. Eventually the problem will clear, but it often takes a couple of minutes.

When I had the problem on one machine, I decided not to file a bug report. I'm filing this report after seeing it recur on two machines with different hardware, and because it's really annoying.

I can type into any other application when calc is ignoring me, so it's not a sudden problem with the keyboard.
Comment 1 libreoffice-bugs 2019-05-16 14:35:29 UTC
I have upgraded to 6.2.3.2 using the version in the LibreOffice PPA repository. I'll report back if the keyboard problem appears resolved.

You can experiment with an appimage build without having to install anything: https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/
