Description OfficeUser 2019-06-13 08:50:11 UTC
- Open a Draw or Impress document

- Enable View/Toolbars/Option (screenshot)

- Note that button "Double-click to edit Text" is enabled by default

- Draw any shape and enter some text into this shape

- Click somwhere in the page area (to unselect the shape)

- Do a single-click over the text area of the shape

Note that the caret is placed in the shape.

Expected result:

Since single-click is the desired default behavior the button should be fixed so that it is off by default. The ON-state should be fixed so that a double-click is required to place the caret.

I close this as RESOLVED INVALID.

After more investigation I found the function of the button: While the button is PRESSED (ON) double-clicking on the shape (outside of text) also gets you into edit mode.
