Description Jim Brooking 2019-07-07 19:32:11 UTC
Description:
Simplest example: Two Option Buttons inserted, Group Name = Group1 for both, Text=Yes for one and No for the other. Yes preset to be selected. Save document as PDF Form. Neither button is selected, neither reacts to a click in PDF viewers.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new document. View Form Controls & Form Design.
2. Insert Option Button 1, set Group Name to Group1, Default Status to Selected
3. Insert Option Button 2, set Group Name to Group1.
4. Save file as RB_Test.odt
5. Export file as PDF, General Options "Create PDF Form" only
6. Open resulting PDF file

Actual Results:
1. Opened file shows Option Buttons 1 and 2 with neither selected.
2. Neither button reacts to a click.

Expected Results:
N/A

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
1. Should have opened with Button 1 selected
2. Clicking either button should select that button and deselect the other.

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

I reset user profile to factory settings, reopened the odt file, and exported to a PDF file, with "Create a PDF Form" checked. Same behavior as reported previously.

Thanks.

I can't confirm it with

Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: ae823e4633a76d13cebc6432b9e44b9b2862326b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-06-26_23:06:07
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

and also not with

Version: 6.2.5.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 1ec314fa52f458adc18c4f025c545a4e8b22c159
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

I exported your document to PDF and could change between yes and no (I tried "Export as PDF" asnd "Export Directly as PDF".
Comment 6 Jim Brooking 2019-07-08 15:29:46 UTC
I'm on LO 6.1, since "Check for Updates" tells me that I am current. Perhaps some work has been done subsequent to this release, and if so, I apologise for reporting this. I have tried the 6.1 version with a number of PDF viewers, and the results are mixed, but none worked as expected. I will try again when LO 6.4 comes into production.

Thank you for your responses.
Comment 7 Dieter 2019-07-08 15:42:55 UTC
Could you please try to reproduce it with LO 6.2 from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
