Screenshot Data Provider window in Calc

Hi,

the Data Provider window in Calc is truncated to the right, even if it has the maximum width. You can see it with the truncated ID field.

Expected: All content should be visible.

Tested with Libreoffice 6.3.0.3 in English, German, Lower Sorbian, Upper Sorbian and Czech.

Please find attached screenshot LO_data_provider_truncated.png.

By the way, I forgot to write that some strings of the Data Provider window are not localizable:

- Start
- Column
- Col:1, Col:2, Col:3, Col:4, Col:5, Col:6

Maybe has to do something with resolution of the screen.
If the window of LO is half of the screen in my case, the Data Provider is outside LO.

@BogdanB: Yes, I have a small resolution, 1024x768 only. But I mounted the dialog window to maximum width and the window is still truncated then.

I think this issue is resolved.
Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ?
You can install it alongside the standard version.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build

Hi Xisco,

I've just downloaded LO 6.3.3.1 and there the issue is already fixed. But, meanwhile I use a larger monitor, 27''. I don't know if my smaller monitor before caused the issue.

I would have tested this, but the report does not say where in the menu we can find this Data provider. The designers changed everything and now the help is incorrect.

Closing anyway.

Hi Buovjaga,

the menu item in Calc is Data > Data provider in LO 6.4 and there the issue still exists. But, in LO Dev 7.0 I didn't find this menu item anymore, either.

Oooh, damn, now I understand:
https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/24939a5b43b9fe889c3aace027c668666ff61987
"the data provider feature is not ready for production"

The whole thing was hidden from the menu!
