Editing a complex document in track changes mode is currently very impractical because for every change, a little box appears in the right margin indicating that I have changed a word here or made an insertion there. These boxes tend to become quite many over time, and the result seems to be that at a certain point, when I make an edit in track changes mode, when another box gets added and the right margin becomes overfull, the document flashes, then suddenly jumps to another page, another frequent problem is that comments are not displayed until a full refresh of the page, so that collaborators often don't notice that there were comments in the first place. For now the only (partial) remedy seems to be to refrain from track changes, although I am not sure whether this helps in any way with the disappearing comments. For now, I have a hard time persuading my colleages and partners to use Collabora/Libreoffice online because of this behaviour.
Thank you for reporting the bug. Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided.
I observed the same problem. Maybe an option can be added to disable the boxes for change tracking. You can still review the changes via the dialog in the Edit menu.

You > can still review the changes via the dialog in the Edit menu. Maybe there is already such an option because I can't see any "boxes" in the margin. I even tried with two different authors editing the same document in two different LibreOffices. Please explain how we can reproduce and preferably provide an example document.
Sorry, I missed that this is for Online...
