Description Shay G 2019-08-13 15:24:35 UTC
Description:
Hi,

gtk3 and kde5 are very slow

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN with gtk3 or kde5.
2. Open LO.
3. Type and wait for the letters to show onscreen

Actual Results:
It's slow!

Expected Results:
Letters show instantly

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
When I use gen I get a office 95 like GUI with flickering menus. It got worse in the last 3 months.

Tried with and without OpenGL and HW acceleration. Same results.

Has it been always been like this or has it begun recently?
Could you give a try to LO 6.2.5?
Comment 2 Shay G 2019-08-15 15:34:17 UTC
Coming and going. But that's the slowest I ever had.
Comment 3 Julien Nabet 2019-08-15 17:11:38 UTC
After having upgraded to 6.2.5, you can try this link:

Comment 4 Julien Nabet 2019-08-15 17:12:28 UTC
Also, do you use any accessibility tools? If yes, would it be possible you disable them just for the test?
Comment 5 Shay G 2019-08-15 17:20:47 UTC
Distro just got v6.2.6. No longer slow. Closing
Comment 6 Shay G 2019-08-15 19:32:50 UTC
@Julien Nabet: Didn't use accessibility tools.
