Description hans.ullrich 2019-08-29 11:05:46 UTC
Description:
Hi folks,

I got into some problems with libreoffice-writer, especially when using special
forms. Sorry for my bad English, but to explain is difficult, as I am running libreoffice in German and do not quite get the correct translations. Let us try to explain:

1. I am running libreoffice version 6.2.0 in Windows and Lonux (debian, 64-Bit) and kali-linux,

2. When I add a special form, let's say a tect field, so it is not correctly shown in libreoffice, for example the frame around the text field is missing.

It is also not possible to copy it.

Now to the important point:

The named functions are working or not workin according to the underlying operating system. See the table:

Windows:
Libreoffice-portable 64-Bit (for Windows) (6.2.0-3)
Win10 = not working
Win7 = working

Linux:
Debian/amd64/testing = (6.2.0-3, fully installed, not working
Kali-Linux =(6.2.0-3, fully installed, working)

So it looks like there is an icompabilty with something related to the underlying opratings system.

I tried several versions of java without any success (just a try!).

Strangely converting odt to docx and backwards SOMETIMES is working, maybe the respnsible libs are not used doing so.

Please feel free, to ask for more information, German language preferred, as this issue seems a little bit complex, to describe it in English.

Thank you very much for readingt this and the great work!

Best regards

Hans

Actual Results:
No frames in text fields shown. Text fields not shown, after saving an XML-file and reloading it. This is independent of the underlying operating system.

Windows:
Libreoffice-portable 64-Bit (for Windows) (6.2.0-3)
Win10 = not working
Win7 = working

Linux:
Debian/amd64/testing = (6.2.0-3, fully installed, not working
Kali-Linux =(6.2.0-3, fully installed, working)

Expected Results:
Example. Text fields should show the frame

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Thank you for reporting the bug. You describe several problems.

1. Text Box has no border (Einfügen => Textfeld). What doe you mean? It shows a blue border when you create it and if you click inside. Border disappears, if you click outside textbox. Waht is your result?

2. Textbox get's lost after savong as xml and reopening. I can confirm it.

3. Not possible to copy textbox: I can't confirm that.

I also don't understand the title of this bug. What are x;l-files?

So please give some more informations. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the informations are given.

Although I'm German, I write in English, to give more people the chance to get involveld. Perhaps it's a good idea to use a translator like deepl.com to translate a text.
