Description Marco Bresciani 2019-09-04 11:44:22 UTC
Description:
After I saved an ODT file (attached) having a table with borders, then reloading the file (both by closing/reopening LO and using the File -> Reload menu), the borders are not present (or visible) anymore.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attached file.
2. Select, for example, the first two rows in the first table.
3. Draw all borders.
4. Close LO, reopen the file.

Actual Results:
No borders are present/visible.

Expected Results:
The borders I've added to the table should be present/visible.

Reproducible: Always

Even resetting the personal profile, didn't work.

Thank you for reporting the bug. I can reproduce the bug in

Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+

But, not in

LibreOffice 3.3.0
OOO330m19 (Build:6)
tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4
Comment 4 Marco Bresciani 2019-09-17 11:48:39 UTC
It happens also in LibreOffice 6.3.1.2:

Versione: 6.3.1.2 (x64)
Build ID: b79626edf0065ac373bd1df5c28bd630b4424273
Thread CPU: 8; SO: Windows 10.0; Resa interfaccia: predefinito; VCL: win;

Calc: CL

It seems that after a certain complexity, the borders are no more properly saved.

I've created another (attached) file from scratch and started creating a few content and borders. Saved after a while, reopened, and the borders were there.
After a few modifications and more structure and borders. The borders are not visible anymore when reopening the file.

Another file to test, with border issues

This is the file that has no visible borders.

Expected result when reopening the file

This PDF file has been exported from the previous ODT right before closing LO. The borders are exported properly. When closing and reopening LO, the borders in the ODT file are no more visible. (Are they actually there?)

=> NEW, because of comment 3

No repro 6.1, repro 6.4+ both Windows and Linux. I mark regression although it may not be.
ODT attachment 153860 [details] has embedded fonts and that causes the bug. If file saved without fonts at File-Properties-Font, borders save OK.
Note: Up until 6.1 file size was bigger, seems that it used to save fonts twice.
Comment 9 Timur 2020-03-17 13:20:52 UTC
Bugs is for saving with embedded fonts AND option "Only embed fonts that are used".
But that makes it a likely duplicate of bug 124470.
