Description nick_alderweireldt 2019-09-12 10:13:24 UTC
Description:
It can take up to more than 10 seconds before the hilited outlining appears around the cell you clicked in. This leads to frustration (and mistakes...) as this is NOT the case in Calc 6.2.4, 6.25, 6.2.6 or 6.27
This phenomena appears on all of my laptops equiped with i3-7100U, i5-7200U and Pentium Gold processors.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Take a Calc-spreadsheet
2.Click with your mouse in a specific cell
3.Wait until that cell recieves it outlining to state it is selected (on all subsequent actions will take place in THAT cell en NOT in the previous selected one.

Actual Results:
The newly selected cell does NOT hilite and all subsequent actions you type in take place in the previously, still selected cell which leads to a bunch of mistakes off course because you not always see that you are still taken action the previous cell instead of on the newly selected one

Expected Results:
Immediate response as this is still the case in all versions previous to 6.3 (try 6.2.7 for example)

Reproducible: Always

Could you give a try to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps?
Indeed, it might be something related to LO profile or OpenGL.
