Description hardy 2019-09-17 19:32:01 UTC
Description:
When I customize me toolbar (e.g. use "view" - "toolbar" - "image" in Impress or Writer), and afterwards close LibreOffice, then my toolbar settings have dissappeard on the next start of LibreOffice.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start LibreOffice (e.g. Impress)
2. use the menu "view" - "toolbars" to turn on a formerly hidden toolbar (e.g. "image" or "outline")
3. close LibreOffice
4. start LibreOffice again (e.g. again Impress)

Actual Results:
The toolbar that I just turned on, has disappeard again.

Expected Results:
The toolbar should stay visible, also after a restart of LibreOffice

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I have observed this in LibreOffice 6.3.0.4 and 6.2.5.2 under Linux and Windows. When I remember right, this used to work fine in earlier versions of LibreOffice.

This behavior basically spoils the whole point of customizable toolbars. If my customization is gone after a restart, I will never bother to use it at all!

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

I have retested this under LibreOffice 6.3.2.2, the newest available version. And the behavior is still the same.

To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

I have now fully removed my user folder. When restarting LibreOffice Impress afterwards, the described behavior is STILL PRESENT.

Couldn't you reproduce this? (I see this on different PCs, with different recent versions of LibreOffice). It takes around 10 seconds to try this out.

Found older report. I also tested 6.1, 4.4, 3.5.0, 3.3.0, this has always worked this way. The settings have never been stored.
