Description jdien07 2019-09-19 00:36:37 UTC
Description:
In the Linux version but not the OS X version, Impress becomes unresponsive after showing slide with animation in .ppt file (attached).

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open file
2.navigate to the fourth slide
3. start slide show at current slide

Actual Results:
slide is shown normally but animation does not occur. Furthermore changing slides with arrows no longer works. The slide does not change. If one presses escape to leave slideshow mode or one uses right-click, it becomes evident that Impress has been keeping track of the slide changes, it's just not updating the slide on the screen.

Expected Results:
A click should trigger an animation effect of an image object appearing on the slide. Further clicks should trigger two more such animated objects. A further click should advance to the next slide. An arrow press should change the slide being shown.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
I see this bug under Linux (Pop os, a variety of Ubuntu) but not under OS X (both with the same version of Libre Office).

Comment 5 Gerald Pfeifer 2020-05-11 17:16:12 UTC
This very much reminds me of my own
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125949
which got fixed a bit ago.

With LibreOffice 6.4.3.2 I can no longer reproduce this, so I guess
the fix for that other bug also helped with this one.

jdien07@mac.com, can you please confirm?

Xisco, or perhaps you can since you could reproduce originally?
Comment 6 Xisco Faulí 2020-05-11 17:42:41 UTC
Indeed, not reproducible in

Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 86bc13248c1d9f63b10aac304bdf0361d1dcc47f
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Closing as RESOLVED WORKSFORME
Comment 7 jdien07 2020-05-11 18:02:17 UTC
Agreed, no longer a problem (tested with 6.3.1.2 under Pop!_OS 19.10).
Thanks to the development team!
