Example from SnagIt

When saving a document, provide an option to copy the full path to the paste buffer. This facilitates reference to a saved version being used to attach, open in another application, or logging.

SnagIt is a good example of an implementation of this feature.

Thank you,
Bob

Let's ask UX team. I think this would be better served as a third-party extension.

That's up to your OS/DE. I'm on KDE and the file browser has a context menu where I can switch the breadcrumb into a edit field that allows to copy the path.
Plus, we put some options in the footer of the standard dialog which impairs usability. Adding more and more won't improve the situation.
Keeping the ticket open for other opinions but suggest to resolve as WF.

What is WF?

I believe adding this feature would enhance usability for some of us. If usability is the criteria for arguing that "Adding more and more won't improve the situation," it seems counter-intuitive to not consider any suggestion for improving usability. Is there a problem with adding more and more usability?

Adding unlimited usability does indeed add complexity, and after that becomes an issue it needs to be resolved differently. In that case, removing features or redesign become alternatives to be considered.

To extent possible this behavior is os/DE provided, and project has deprecated its own file manager.

Concur with the WONTFIX (i.e. WF)
