Description Albert Acer 2019-10-06 06:21:29 UTC
Description:
When I am using and testing LO Draw and LO Impress 6.3.2.2 in Spanish, I have seen how the translation into Spanish of some of the options of the "User Interface" Sub-Menu, in the "View" Menu, is missing. Those options are: "Tabbed Compact" and "Contextual Single", which appear in English when they should appear in Spanish.
This error also affects LO 6.2.7, Spanish version, Draw and Impress applications.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Draw 6.3.2.2, Spanish Version.
2. Click on the View Menu (in Spanish Menú "Ver")
3. Click on User Interface (in Spanish: "Interfaz de Usuario")

Actual Results:
The options “Tabbed Compact” and “Contextual Single” appear in English when they should be in Spanish.

Expected Results:
You should put "En Pestañas, Compacta" instead of “Tabbed Compact”, and
put "Contextual Sencilla" instead of “Contextual Single”. This is how they are correctly translated in LO Writer.

Reproducible: Always

Please see the image attached above where you can see the errors in the Spanish translation.
I am using Windows 10 Professional in Spanish, on a PC with 64-bit Intel Core i3 processor.

Xisco: badfully, master part is on Weblate and I'm not admin of it.
I think it doesn't worth to change in on Pootle since it'll be finally replaced by weblate translations.

I had ping Sophie about it but don't know if she's ok I'd be admin for Weblate too.
Comment 5 Julien Nabet 2019-10-17 13:25:45 UTC
Sophie gave me rights to make the change on Weblate, I put:
"Contextual, sencilla" since there was a first translation like this.
and "Contextual single".

See https://weblate.documentfoundation.org/languages/es/libo_ui-master/#history

BTW, I don't know if it's replicated in sub "es", like es_US, es_419, etc.
Comment 6 Albert Acer 2019-10-20 18:27:07 UTC
Please do not forget that it is also necessary to put there, in LO Draw, "En Pestañas, Compacta" instead of “Tabbed Compact”. This is how it is correctly translated into Spanish in LO Calc.
Comment 8 Julien Nabet 2019-10-28 13:34:42 UTC
Is it ok now or should I do the same changes on Pootle?
Comment 9 Albert Acer 2019-11-03 05:10:41 UTC
No, it is not ok. There are no favorable changes in LO 6.3.3 in Spanish.
I see exactly the same errors in LO Draw and LO Impress 6.3.3.
I reiterate that it is in Draw and in Impress where the errors are.

Of course since Weblate (the new translation tool) is only about master (so future 6.4.0).

For 6.3, changes must be done on Pootle (the former translation tool).
Comment 12 Julien Nabet 2019-11-10 12:44:28 UTC
Albert: on master, there's been some sync between translation repo and weblate.
About 6.3, I don't know how and when is planned next sync.

I am testing LibreOffice 6.3.4, Using WIndows 10 Professional X64, in Spanish, and I see that this bug has been completely resolved. So I am confirming to you that this bug has been resolved after testing LO 6.3.4 in Spanish.
