Description kdedk 2019-10-09 13:32:40 UTC
Description:
The tabbed UI has a lot of advantages, but one disadvantage is that it takes a lot of vertical space. Because of that, it would be great to have a button to temporary hide the tabs and only keep the selection bar for them (The bar with "File", "Home", ...). This button could, for instance, be integrated into the selection bar for the tabs, for example at the most right side.
This is a feature that is also integrated into other office suites that have a tabbed UI.

Steps to Reproduce:
Switch to the tabbed UI and try to hide the tab.

Actual Results:
Tabs with Symbols in tabbed UI are not hideable.

Expected Results:
There is a button to hide the tabs but not the selection bar.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Some other way to implement this is that if you click on the heading for the current tab, the tab get hidden, so there is more place for the document itself.

Sorry for replying so late - and then it becomes a duplicate of another bug as more comments have been done there. Many thanks for reporting!
