Description David Tobin 2019-10-09 14:35:17 UTC
Description:
I can't seem to get the spell checker to get past the word "subscale" - it crashes when I try to ignore the suggestion to change it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. type "subscale"
2. run the spell check feature
3.  click ignore

Actual Results:
The program gets stuck with the spinning circle.

Expected Results:
The software should ignore the spelling choice.

Reproducible: Always

I can't confirm it with

Version: 6.3.2.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Just for clarification: Does writer becomes unresponsive or does it crash?

To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

Same here, see the attached document. FWIW, this is created and edited in Notepad++, and only opened in Writer to spellcheck it. Actual errors are *not* corrected in Writer, only shown! Writer hangs on the last occurrence of "hitchproof".

Details:

Version: 6.3.2.2 (x64)
Build ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Text assumed to be UK English, and checked against that dictionary.

Thanks fpor testing let's change status to WORKSFORME. David, if you - as the bug reporter disagrees, please change it back to UNCONFIRMED with a short reasoning.
