Description: After inserting conditional formatting for a cell in Calc, cursor is permanently changed to "painter"-style for current and new workbooks and sheets, even when not in "conditional formatting" function. The new cursor does not function as painter, it just has the appearance of the painter icon. Does not cause problems with any other LO program. Cannot figure out how to get the normal cursor back in Calc. Also just now discovered that after the unwanted icon change kicks in, right-click for dialog box functionality no longer works.
Instead of just closing the workbook and re-opening it, I fully exited and re-started LO and that took care of the problem. Sorry for the false alarm;
