Description: It's a while that I'm experiencing a problem in the rendering on pages with Writer when I scroll the page up or down. Some rows appear to be wrong rendered, as shown into the attached image. I have experienced this strange and unwanted rendering fx since I started use LO, versions ago... It doesn't happen every time I scroll the page but enough to get my attention, even if the system isn't busy doing other heavy work simultaneously. Yesterday I got the v. 6.3.2.2 and it has the same issue as all previous versions I used to use in the past. I tried at least 3-4 computers and the problem is consistent between win versions too and different hardware. If there is a table in the page the fx is also more evident when it happens because table rows render "broken" or kinda of not continuous. This doesn't happen with any other software for example Ms Word or browsers, or even notepad++ or else, which render everything in good quality, as expected. I didn't try on other LO applications, so I don't know if in calc or base or else this problem is present. Can someone else confirm the issue? Thank you Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just scroll vertically or horizontally the text Actual Results: jagged, indented, "broken" rendered rows Expected Results: straight table and text lines Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info:

I think this is a rendering issue. It usually happens more frequently with big and complex documents with more pages, less with little docs. It happens randomly when I scroll it up or down. Now I'm usually using LO Writer in Normal View. For a while I'm going to edit the document in Web view to check if this view gives the issue as well. I'm not able to respond about the zoom level question. Sorry. I don't know if it is some kind of problem with my graphic card or drivers or openGL things... Anyway my gcard is the following: Produttore scheda grafica Powered by AMD Chipset grafico ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series ID dispositivo 68E1 Fornitore 1002 ID sottosistema 3000 ID venditore sottosistema 174B Capacità del bus della grafica PCI Express Impostazione del bus massime PCI Express x16 Versione BIOS 012.020.000.060 Numero di serie BIOS 113-204PROM2-SA1 Data BIOS 2011/11/14 Dim. memoria 1791 MB Tipo di memoria HyperMemory Clock principale in MHz 650 MHz Clock della memoria in MHz 667 MHz and the sw that it uses is: Versione del pacchetto di driver 8.92-111109a-129967C-ATI Versione Catalyst 11.12 Fornitore Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. I don't know if there is some kind of incompatibility with LO.

Please change it back to > 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided. I'm not able to attach a document that does it every time because the problem happens randomly. I think it is an issue due to rendering as I said before, so IMHO it doesn't matter the text content of the doc. Just I have to add enough text in it an after a while it happens scrolling the document up or down. This is why I added a screenshot instead of a Write file. Sorry.
(In reply to zionoto from comment #3) > I'm not able to respond about the zoom level question. Sorry. The statusbar in writer shows the zoom level on the right side. So does it only happen with - for example - a zoom level less than 90%? Have you also chekced, if you use the actual driver-version of your graphic card? => NEEDINFO (to narrow down the problem)

Thank you for the suggestion. Installed version of AMD Catalyst 11.12 and no newer driver are found by the Check for updates function of the Catalyst Control Center.

Is the issue fixed after updating the drivers ?
